In January I was a runner for 'Tumble Travels' at CBeebies, which involves a few short episodes which lead up to a special edition show of 'Something Special' during CBeebies birthday celebrations. It was a great experience to be involved with a green screen production, and making sure none of the props were green! The shows were aired at the beginning of February. I have now taken part in outdoor stage events, live audience productions and now green screen and I have loved all of them.

Well what a year it has been! Cbeebies was a fantastic week and definately a highlight of my year! The show I was working with was called 'Justin's House' which was first aired a few months ago. I had the chance to experience rehearsals to making props and reading through the scripts to sitting in the galleries and the editing suite with the editor and director. My week was really rewarding and worth using my work holidays to go for it! You can some props I created for the second show in the series titled 'House Warming' here. I also noticed that the team kindly put my name on the credits for the first two shows in the series which were filmed when I was completing my placement which was really fulfilling. I have since been called back by the BBC to be a runner in January 2012 and I am super excited!

I have also been designing new ranges at work, including product illustrations based on the strong Union Jack theme for the 2012 Olympics and the Jubilee, and more character designs. Browse through my website to see new designs!

It's my birthday this month - woohoo! I have met some of the team I will be working with at Cbeebies at the end of the month and now I can't wait to start! I have also scanned a few piccies of my textile prints I completed at the end of July at the Harris Museum and Art Gallery in Preston and I will keep you posted about my time at Cbeebies. :-)

So I am finally updating my site. It has been a busy few months! So lets start from now...

07/2011 - This month has been a busy busy month. I'm a bridesmaid, it's my brother's 21st and it's my textile printing day so i'll keep you posted. I designed my friends place names for her wedding where you can see a picture of them on twitter here and I have also sorted out some work at Cbeebies which I am super super excited for and that will be starting in August.

06/2011 - This month I visited Manchester Met Uni's graduate shows, including fashion design, textile design and illustration. A few really caught my eye and I hope they do well! I also booked myself on a textile printing day in Preston in July. The big news is going to Barcelona!!!!!! Gaudi's work is just amazing and I have lots of happy snaps of his montage work and a greater understanding of his influences. Want to go again :-) Also, I have been shopping on notonthehighsteet.com and have found some great gifts so thumbs up for their sellers!

05/2011 - Made some pretty patterns this month and started a winter footwear catalogue at work.

04/2011 - I was designing new umbrella patterns at work based on British Vintage Fashion and booked a holiday to Barcelona for the end of June to see Gaudi's work. I've wanted to go for aaaaaaaaaaaaaaages! :-)

03/2011 - In March in my spare time I was working on my best friends wedding invites. Looking very pretty if I do say so myself! At work I was completing photography of slipper ranges to start our slipper catalogue.

My first new NEWS of the year! I now have an Etsy Shop! I'm getting used to it, but I have listed a few prints which will look great in kids bedrooms! Take a look by clicking on my new Etsy button! :-)

I hope you have all had a great Christmas and are looking forward to 2011! This year has been full of lessons and great opportunities. This month I have updated the patterns page with some NEW ILLUSTRATIONS, have a mini bag catalogue being printed over the Christmas break for The Spring Fair and preparing wedding literature for my best friends wedding in July. Thank you for supporting me during 2010! I have some great ideas to work on in 2011 and will update you on their progess. All the best for the New Year!

Birthday trip to London!

Its been a while since my update but the exciting news is my friends Save The Date invites have been designed and sent! Wedding dress shopping and designing is very soon! I also had another fab few days in London for my birthday and made a trip down to Notting Hill Carnival. :-)

My catalogue brief at work has also been sent to print! When I catch a few mins I need to update my website! Moving house and everything is in the air at the moment so check my site soon!

Weekend to London! Exhibition work is online!

I had a great long weekend in London this month and Drawgasmic have told me my work is now online which you can check out at Drawgasmic.com Work will be on sale during the exhibition, so get ready for July 10th!

I'm also still working on wedding invites with the bride and also have a new project to paint a canvas of elephants for a ladies new study!

New catalogue layouts, photography and more are keeping me busy at work this month as well!

Holiday! Exhibition work!

A holiday to Gran Canaria was a great treat this month! But now it's back to work! My exhibition piece has been sent to the States and now I have a busy time updating my new portfolio :-)

Drawgasmic Expo!

I have been asked by Drawgasmic to take part in their exhibition this year! You will be able to buy work online during the exhibition time so don't worry if you can't be in St.Louis. A book will also be available with all the artwork displayed and the artists info printed inside.

WEBSITE LAUNCH DAY AND SELLING IN MANCHESTER!!

It's been a while but finally my new site is coming along, my twitter feed will be up in the next few days and the shop section is getting ready - but in the mean time you can see a few snippets of work I have completed and you can head down to Noise, Market Street in Manchester, where I was kindly asked if I would like to be part of their creative shop! There are also other designers selling their work here and also successful artists and designers giving their advice about the design business so it is well worth heading down there!

Also, as some of you will know, I started knitting and have since created Horace the caterpillar!
